Powerful session management and single sign-on
NC-Access provides a comprehensive single sign-on access system for enterprise networks running OS/390 MVS. It integrates a powerful session manager with single sign-on and common network entry procedures. As one of PassGo Technologies’ family of high-performance software products, NC-Access interfaces with our NC-Syncom synchronization and NC-Pass authentication managers. |
Control for large user networks
Through such unique facilities as dynamic application menus, electronic mail and multi-host communications, NC-Access extends information distribution, hot news and connect panels to the entire user base with low overhead. The advanced design of NC-Access provides control for thousands of terminals and one common network entry procedure for any type of user. Thus, it is no longer necessary to restrict users connecting to session management and application menus |

Advanced communications
NC-Access includes a logo and logon system with interfaces to all major security systems to permit user validation and/or authentication throughout the network. Similarly, dynamic application menus can be tailored for each individual user and when desirable, allow a user to access his/her menu using the same entry procedure anywhere on the network. Communications between mainframes are greatly enhanced by a full-featured electronic mail system and, via the Multi Host communications facility, many other features and functions are naturally extended across the whole VTAM network. |
User oriented
Integrated user menus can include any or all of the different application session access methods supported by NC-Access. Each user can select the best combination for his/her own work profile from SPE (Single Point of Entry), MSC (Multiple Sessions Component) and GAC (Gateway Access Component). Panels can be tailored, productivity maximized and overhead tuned to the minimum. |
| |
Direct to the application
Automated Scripting Facility (ASF) automates common or repetitive transactions to any VTAM application for any number of users. Logging on, selecting an application from a menu and invoking a transaction takes a single keystroke. All the user sees is the selection menu followed by the transaction screen. |
On-Line Teaching Facility
Extensive on-screen conferencing capability between the administrator and computer users is obtained via the On-Line Teaching facility. The user-friendly control panel allows an instructor to demonstrate new applications and problem solve in an interactive fashion. The system allows for students to be invited to class via electronic messaging facility. |
