MultSess - fast, high-throughput session management
MultSess is a VTAM-based productivity tool designed for use under IBM's OS/390 MVS operating system environments. Its primary function is to eliminate the problems users have in handling multiple applications from a single terminal. This is also true for users who work with more than one connection to the same application.
MultSess is designed for large numbers of high throughput users, with very low mainframe CPU resource consumption. Any user can have up to 255 concurrent sessions to the same or different applications, anywhere in the network, with menu-driven session selection and single key switching. |

The way you worked before
Without MultSess, you must first connect to the application and logon by entering a user ID and password before you can work with any application from your terminal. To terminate the connection, logoff processing must be performed. If you only work with one application, this process is performed maybe once or twice per day. However, if you work with two, three or more applications, this process must be performed many times a day, thereby wasting a lot of valuable time. |

With MultSess
MultSess overcomes these problems by allowing you to work with more than one application at the same time, removing the need to continually log on and log off. Each application is maintained independently by MultSess and you can quickly switch between them. |

Direct to the application
Automated Transaction Processor (ATP) automates common or repetitive transactions to any VTAM application for any number of users. Logging on, selecting an application from a menu and invoking a transaction takes a single keystroke. All the user sees is the selection menu followed by the transaction screen. |
