The Password Problem
The password problem is not a new one. Static passwords are easily guessed, shared or cracked by others. As a result, traditional static IDs and passwords have been proven to be inadequate for uniquely authenticating users. And when users are forced to regularly change their passwords, they often select passwords that are easily known and compromised. Because users tend to have many passwords to remember, they write them down and make them even more vulnerable to compromise. |

|
The Defender Solution
PassGo’s Defender solves this dilemma by providing two-factor authentication which uniquely authenticates users without forcing them to remember another new password. For enterprises needing highly scalable user authentication either internally or in dial-up, VPN, firewalls, or other remote access environments, Defender provides a standards-based, strong two-factor authentication security solution.
Defender 5 fully supports both industry standard RADIUS® and all Defender Agents. |

Two-Factor Authentication |
Defender provides a unified, vendor neutral, authentication infrastructure capable of growing and adapting with the ever changing requirements of your business.
Using standards-based challenge/response technology to create a one-time password that is far more secure than static passwords, the easy-to-use, robust tokens compute this one-time password when challenged by the Defender Security Server. Then, without the authorized user’s unique token and PIN to activate the token, potential intruders cannot compute the one-time password.
Should the password be captured, it doesn’t pose a threat because the password is valid only once, and can never be used again. |
