PassGo Technologies brings Strong Authentication to Windows Environments

Pittsburgh PA, 9th March – PassGo Technologies announced today that it has extended its Defender 5 product to provide strong one-time password protection down to the Windows desktop logon. Passwords are often considered the weakest link so by incorporating strong authentication, companies can now provide a level of protection to their network resources that ensures only authorized users have access to valuable corporate assets.

Passgo’s Defender 5 product provides support for a range of hardware token devices from different manufacturers; these tokens create a random one-time-password which can be used in combination with a PIN and/or password during the normal Windows logon. Defender 5 integrates directly with Active Directory to allow customers to maximise their investment in Microsoft technology. Administrators can quickly assign tokens to users using familiar Active Directory management dialogues.
