PassGo extends NC-Pass support for hardware tokensWhether you require security for your entire z/Series mainframe network, or a single business transaction, NC-Pass Network Security Managers provide a wide range of user authentication and access controls. NC-Pass gives you the ability to authenticate users via any of the leading dynamic password tokens at three levels:
Resource control systems do not protect your mainframe network. Anyone can enter a network, roam around at will and probe for weaknesses. NC-Pass products extend security defenses from the kernel of the individual mainframe systems to the network periphery so users are validated before they enter the network. NC-Pass encompasses the latest cryptographic developments in hardware technology and includes support for multiple token types from multiple vendors. Now, NC-Pass has been further extended to include support for the Defender Go-1 and Go-3 tokens. The Go-1 and Go-3 tokens represent an ultra-portable, strong authentication solution for maximum convenience and user acceptability. User acceptance of security tools is a crucial factor in guaranteeing the success of any security solution. As an alternative to the risks posed by static passwords, the Go tokens are elegantly designed, affordable user-friendly devices that are quick and efficient to roll-out to users. Defender Go-1 token
The token can be carried in a pocket, around the neck for moving within the company, on a key ring so as not to forget it in the morning or clipped to a belt like a mobile phone.

With
a simple click, the Go-1 is opened and displays a unique one-time password
on a high contrast LCD display. All that the user needs to do is read
it and enter it into the Defender prompt, from wherever they happen to
be.
The
Defender Go-3 is very small, and features a high contrast LCD display
and a single button. One push on the button and the Defender Go-3 shows
a unique one-time password on its LCD display. The user then enters
this one-time password into their application login screen.
