Defender supports CITRIX Password Manager™ 4

Defender 5 from PassGo Technologies has extended its wide-support base to include CITRIX Password Manager™ 4, bringing peace of mind to the Citrix SSO environment.

Citrix Password Manager is an efficient and easy-to-deploy enterprise single sign-on (SSO) solution for accessing password-protected Windows, Web and host-based applications. After logging in, Password Manager automates logons, policy enforcement, and password changes for that user. Now you can fully protect this deployment with Defender’s two-factor authentication solution, reducing the threat of on-line identity theft.

The benefits of an SSO solution can be fundamental to running an efficient computer network. However, allowing your users to access all their applications with just one single password is often considered vulnerable, without the robust measures of strong two-factor authentication in place.

Defender’s two-factor authentication solution provides the necessary protection to secure access to SSO environments by combining the users existing credentials with a random password, generated from their Defender token. The two factors are authenticated within the network. If they match, the user is successfully identified and allowed access to their required applications. Without providing the combination of a memorised password and a separate token password, users are denied access - thereby preventing unauthorised network usage
