Executive Biographies

John Rainford, CISSP
President and CEO
John has over 20 years experience in the high-tech industry serving Global 1000 clients. John was Vice President of Engineering at Symantec Corporation, whose product portfolio includes Norton Anti-Virus. John led a Management Buy Out of PassGo from Symantec in 2001, running PassGo as a customer led organisation. Previously, John was with Cincom Systems where he held positions including Product Manager and was responsible for Enterprise Customer Support based in Geneva, Switzerland. John began his career in Electronic Engineering working for the UK defence industry specializing in the development of high performance operating systems. John holds dual nationality (British/Swiss). John is a CISSP (Certified Information Security Services Professional) and was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2005.

Philip Cook
Chief Financial Officer
Philip Cook is Chief Financial Officer at PassGo Technologies. Philip qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1973. At PassGo, Philip is responsible for all financial, legal and administration functions for the company worldwide. He is also directly responsible for the management of treasury issues including monitoring exchange and investment rates as well as identifying and resolving funding requirements. Prior to joining PassGo, Philip enjoyed a distinguished background with a number of multinational companies in manufacturing, high-tech and service arenas.
   

 

   
Ed Blunt
Vice President of Customer Services
Ed Blunt is Vice President of Customer Services at PassGo Technologies. He joined PassGo in 1986 and was tasked with building the technical support function into a fully-fledged department, providing training, presales support and implementing CRM systems. In 1997 he took over the OS/390 product line as a business unit with responsibility for marketing and development of the product lines. At the same time, he also assumed responsibility for internal systems, and assuring Y2K compliance of all PassGo's systems. Since then, he has taken responsibility for world-wide support of all PassGo products. Ed has 22 years in the industry and was previously with Bull Systems in Paris in their Technical support and Quality Assurance group. Ed is a fluent French speaker and completed his MBA in 1996. He recently attained CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) certification.

John Baker
Vice President of Engineering
John Baker is Vice President of Engineering at PassGo Technologies, and has worked in the IT industry for 18 years. He originally trained with Rolls Royce Bristol on IBM mainframe systems and worked for several insurance companies before joining PassGo. He joined PassGo in 1989 as a senior programmer on what was then an exclusively IBM mainframe product set. John progressed through various engineering roles, most recently serving with Symantec as Product Architect with responsibility for ensuring that future product direction meets customer, company and industry requirements. John graduated from Bath University with a BSc in Economics.
   

 

   
Sandra Evans
Vice President of Human Resources and Logistics
Sandra Evans is Vice President of Human Resources and Logistics at PassGo Technologies. She has over 22 years experience in the IT industry, starting her career as a programmer with the Ministry of Defence. Sandra has responsibility for the implementation of all personnel programs and policies, oversees the product logistics program and participates in the overall management of the company. She joined PassGo in 1992 and, prior to her appointment in Human Resources in 1997, was responsible for product documentation and production.
   

 

   

Dan King-Britton
Head of IT Security Research
Dan King-Britton has worked in information systems security for over 15 years. He has been involved with planning, developing and implementing a wide range of security solutions for customers worldwide, including strong authentication systems, compliance, intrusion detection, single sign-on and Idenity Management. Dan's knowledge covers a broad range of platforms and environments including Unix, Microsoft, Java, Web and IBM mainframes.

His primary role within PassGo Technologies is to research new threats and security technologies, and to advise on all related issues including national and international law, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Basel II and the UK’s Combined Code on Corporate Governance, conformance with the ISO17799 standard, and information security best practice.

Dan is a CompTIA Security+ and holds a CISSP certificate.
